Please, PLEASE disconnect your COMPUTER from your radio(s) if lightning is in the area!

Almost ALWAYS lightning damaged gear that comes in for repair, was hit _thru the comm port!_
(lightning hits Cable/DSL lines).

As far as repairs I see, it is not common for it to be damaged from lightning coming in the antenna.

It usually gets to your computer, then radio gear.

A direct hit however, and all bets are off. I've seen it come in/out via DC, keyer, PTT IN, even the ground lug, IE anything metal.
