Considering that the P3 is a self-contained unit, $700 seems to be a reasonable price. There is a lot more to it, then just an LP-Pan and soundcard.
For someone that doesn't want to deal with computer interfacing, it is great. At the same time, it has limitations. After using CW Skimmer, I don't know how I lived without it. PowerSDR is also a lot of fun. The best of both worlds would be a P3 with a usb port where the PC saw the P3 as a soundcard. Then you could feed PowerSDR and everything else on the PC, or use the P3 by itself. As it stands, I really don't need a P3, but if I worked a lot of portable, I would want one. I think they will sell quite a few P3s. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Elecraft-P3-panadapter-at-the-Orlando-Hamcation-tp4564111p4567354.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
