I can't see anyone else who's mentioned this so far on this thread, but if
someone has and I've missed it, apologies...
In this mockup, the source list folders are grouped by email account, and then
by the individual folders on the server for that account. This is similar to
how Postbox and a few other clients work, but very different to Mail, which
groups items in the sidebar by function first, then by account. So you have one
'Inbox' in the source list, which can then be opened to reveal individual
account inboxes.
Personally, I find that layout very useful in Mail, because it allows me to
see, for instance, my Inbox or Sent folder for ALL accounts simultaneously, as
opposed to having to go through each individually to read all my new mail.
Is there a particular advantage to the grouped-by-account approach that I'm
missing? It just seems like a no-brainer to me to do as Mail does here.
