Works great until the user is using non-English folder names.
Isn't that just an issue for localization?
Localization is never "just". But planning how this should work by default
is not minor
Not at all. We have a huge number of foreign staff and students. They may
well be using Mail.app localised to their language. However, they're all
given a folder called "Sent" when their IMAP accounts are created. Who
knows what they prefer to use.
And, who knows what happens when, say, a French postgrad and Korean
postgrad are sharing an account because they job-share.
The think is, that IMAP has no concept of a "Sent" mailbox, even though
most IMAP clients implement one. What would be nice would be to create an
IANA registered standard label to use on servers that support ANNOTATE.
