Hello my CE list lovelies, First off, my mail is already getting sorted through mail actions, and the "Too Dumb" message does get put in the proper place, the CE folder.
When I am getting my mail, it is not that I can watch and see *every* bit of mail that comes in and even remember the subject names, I too have DSL and it flies by pretty quickly. But, I keep that "connect now" box neatly tucked below all my other windows on my powerbook and I do notice if I get stuff that doesn't look like list stuff. Often I don't rememeer the subject line itself (so Michelle's suggestion of doing a "find" on the subject line wouldn't work - anyway, doing a "find" on which folder? - plus I have a 200 mb CE database) Also, I don't have that last mail action, the one that puts all the rest of the mail in the inbox that Karl suggested. I do occassionally use the logs, like once or twice a week. But more often than not, what I have found is that the culprit of my search is usally, 9 times out of ten, in the CE folder. I always end up there, and honestly, I'd rather look at my CE folder much less. Even when I DO use the logs, I have to open the "Too Dumb" message to see what it is. Or I have to open my log folder wide enough to see that it is in the CE folder. (I have limited screen real estate - on a powerbook with 10 other apps open) Really, this thread was meant to adress a very subtle thing. This is not the ONLY way I use CE. It is one subtle thing that I use to help me deal with the mail I get. I have found that having some sort of list subject line helps me to keep track of things. I appreciate everyone trying to lend a hand and exlain different ways to handle the situation. But really, it comes down to that my preference would be to have [ce] in the subject line. That would help me alot. Anyway. no worries. Everything will be fine. :) With Claris Emailer Love, Evie Karl.Winkelmann wrote: >IMHO looking through several windows/folders is what is annoying you. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
