9.2.2 first, then X.1 for some time, then X.2 recently.

Nothing changed (no problem), except that IP feels faster in classic than
in native OS 9 (but I wonder if it's real, since disk operations seem
faster too, but recent copy tests I read in a magazine showed no
difference or even the opposite).

When I boot X it usually stays up for days or weeks (I rarely restart if
not forced to, which can take long in X), but I still prefer 9 because
it's so much faster.

>When you installed X.2, did you do it as a totally virgin install?

Oh no! I read a lot about how bad it was not to, then I updated over X.1,
grinning.

3 partitions : X, 9 and files are on separate volumes (the Emailer app is
on OS 9's partition and attachments are unpacked there to the "Transfers"
folder near Emailer instead of my usual attachments folder near Emailer
Files -- it took me a few weeks to notice the setting was lost and then
thought that oh well, doesn't matter).

Clamshell iBook 366 (firewire). Blue :-)

Nothing unusual. Almost constantly hooked to FW disks. ADSL through
Ethernet router, or leased line through school's network. Didn't try this
setting whith modem nor ISDN yet (my ISDN pod has no X driver, I use it
through my Performa 6400 thanks to Sagem ISDN PPP's sharing ability, so
it will be similar to other networks anyway). I never even tried to dial
a modem from Emailer.

The folders or files privileges issue looks like a good idea to check.
Didn't bother yet. I'll show mine if you show yours ;-)
