The things I would try (in this order) are: Zap PRAM (Command-Option-P-R on boot, do that until you hear the startup bong 3 times total).
Rebuild desktop (Command-Option right before the finder comes up, hold until it asks if you want to rebuild the desktop). Trash Emailer's prefs file Reboot with OS 9 Base extensions set Make sure you have the latest iMac firmware, if not, install it (check apple's web site) Duplicate Emailer (select the Emailer folder that contains everything for emailer, Press Command-D, wait for it to copy... move the old one to the trash... DO NOT EMPTY THE TRASH, run the duplicate copy). If this has no effect, remove the original from the trash, and delete the duplicate copy. Reinstall the core OS (System & Finder, do a custom install from your OS 9 installer, and install just the OS 9 minimum set, do any updates as needed to bring you back to 9.0.4). Update to 9.1 (big download, but free) Obviously, retry emailer between each step to see if the problem has gone away. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
