How is your high speed internet coming into your house? Is it wireless from the source? What does your laptop connect to wirelessly? Generally, what you would do is put the router between your high speed internet access device and the rest of your network. ie: if you have DSL or Cable, the router connects to the DSL/Cable modem, and then your network devices (wired/wireless/whatever) connect to the router. If you are wireless from the source (ie: you live in a big city that is offering high speed wireless internet access where the access point is out in the street somewhere), then you are in a totally different situation and you will likely find it easiest to go with a software solution. (There are still hardware ways around this, you can use a bridge device to connect to the wireless internet, and then you connect wirelessly to the bridge, but it is MUCH more complicated to get setup correctly and keep working correctly). -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
