Dear list and Susan, and Chris, Now that I see you talk about having items or windows 'open', I want to share with you that I get the impression that even a Window in the Mac OS X finder, in multi-column mode, seems to keep items in the adjacent columns open in a sort of non-exclusive lock.
(watch my DTP skills in next paragraph...) So having "Emailer Files Folder" open, with X|X|X column mode turned on, may keep items in de Temp incoming open. And Claris Emailer Folder in X|X|X mode will keep the Emailer Files Folder itself 'in use' for just showing the preview icon. On a regular basis, I cant empty my (Mac OS Dock) trash because some file is still in use. Maybe this helps.. if not , use it to fill up your Trash... PS: I want to know ALL about sheepshaver ! and get it when it is (approx) ready for use !!
