Now that I see you talk about having items or windows 'open',
I want to share with you that I get the impression that even a
Window in
the Mac OS X finder, in multi-column mode, seems to keep items in the
adjacent columns open in a sort of non-exclusive lock.
And this is exactly why I tell people to close ALL open windows. Not
just the one showing the Temp Incoming folder... but close every
single open window in the Finder before starting Emailer again.
Usually, when people have problems with the .DS_Store file respawning
right away, it is because they didn't close every single window (or
in some other way have the Temp Incoming folder "open" such as
putting an alias to it somewhere that it could be referenced or
updated).
PS: I want to know ALL about sheepshaver ! and get it when it is
(approx) ready for use !!
SheepShaver is already out there and (approx) ready for use. Do a
google search for it. It has been around for quite some time, and has
had a Universal Binary version of it since earlier this year.
BTW: I have NOTHING to do with SheepShaver, I don't even participate
in the support forums for it. I just know of it, have downloaded it,
and figured out how to configure it and get it to work correctly. All
the kudos for it need to go to its developers.
