I've been keeping silent about this, because I didn't want to look
stupid. The rest of you probably already know all about this, but I'm lost.
As you know, I have migrated to an OS X machine, and it has Classic
installed. I copied my entire Claris Emailer folder into the
"Applications (MacOS 9)" folder. When I double-click on it, Classic
seems to start normally (not that I would know what "normal" looks
like), but then I get an error message which reads: "Claris Emailer
could not open the required file "Connections" because and unknown error
(-5000) occurred. Press OK to quit."
The more I use Thunderbird, the more I miss Emailer. It's not that
Thunderbird is actually bad. It just doesn't work as well. (It does have
some bugs: even though I tell it to use plain text, it invariably comes
up in HTML when I reply to a message or compose a new one. And, after
writing 3 or 4 messages, the "Options" menu disappears, so I can't put
it into plain text mode until I exit and restart Thunderbird.)
So, I'd like to get Emailer working on this puppy if I possibly can, at
least for my non-work mail.
Plus, of course, I really, *really* want to see some progress on an
Emailer workalike for OS X.
