This is probably not that helpful, but I am dealing with the same
problem by replacing the motor and pulleys with 3 phase motor connected
to a variable speed drive. One pulley pair will replace the four I
current have and give a much wider speed range, especially slow speeds.
With modern electronics and on-line auctions, this option is a
reasonable cost.
My plan is to interface EMC to the VSD.
