Good point!

I've been burned by the lack of web access before also. I have learned 
not to rely on the web for instant access to info in front of the 
customer as that sometimes does not go well.
My suggestion is to duplicate the PC hardware, and do it before your 
visit in front of the customer. PC's are cheap, especially when you have 
to drive long distances and literally lose sleep.

I also tend to load all required documents onto stick drives or CDs in 
case they lose web access or do not have web access. The web is great 
when it works and horrible when it does not.

Something else to keep in mind: If you install it, it will eventually 
break, and chances are they will call you to fix it. To some extent you 
"own" the system after it is installed.
I try and keep spare PCs and hardware available in case of the 
inevitable late night call from the customer saying they just lost their 
control system due to _______.
