I'm still looking for a map solution. The old one isn't supported anymore, 
and it didn't really work reliably.
When I find something I'll let you know.

The problem we had is that we had a custom install of an older joomla.
That means we had to take care of upgrades, and we obviously didn't, so that 
lead to problems with getting the site hacked.
The new joomla install is an install provided by the webhoster, which should 
get automatically upgraded.
