Hello I am Bence Kovacs, my college is Geza Szayer. We both finished on Faculty of Mechatronics at Budapest University of Technology, and we are currently doing PhD. Our MsC final work was the development of a universal motion control system. We have chosen LinuxCNC because of its scalability and open source philosophy. We have developed a PCI motion control card and additional interface modules to make system capable to control most robots and CNC machines. In the last year we were continue developing the system so that it is already in production stage.
For more info, please look user manual at our website or look at the video: http://www.generalmechatronics.com/robot_controller_eng.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kw9vtsyJhsg#! We want to make effort on supporting robotics applications with LinuxCNC in the future. For example we are thinking of a kind of simple robot teaching interface for LinuxCNC. We wonder if our project could be part of LinuxCNC documentation and drivers? Alex Joni informed us that we should prepare a merge request. What is needed for that, and who can check that it is ok? And how is it work with the documentation? Sorry for being that uninformed, we are new to this community. Thanks in advance.
