I finally got around to trying this patch.
It doesn't seem to work properly for me.
I tried it on an AXIS lathe sim that I added the feature mask to.
I do understand its a proof of concept.

I had to multiply the tool number by 1000 in the tool file.
eg tool 11 would be 10011
is that by design? seems silly.

It also seems that if the tool is not found that the interpreter forgets
that the original tool is still loaded. I had to reload the last tool to clear 
things out.

I think an INI switch would be better then the feature mask.
A GUI can easily search for an INI switch keyword.

I think this could be an excellent feature for lathes.
