If that is the case, I think we should simply continue and if a situation arises where someone does not like having their LGPL code compiled with GPL3 code, etc, then address that situation at the time. If the developers original intent was to make their work publicly available when they made their contribution, then I would think that as long as we keep the software free, open, and accessible .... what real complaint could they have??
