Several years ago I configured and built a number of kernels, tools, 
and LinuxCNC (nee EMC1&2) on Gentoo.  I'd be tempted to support a 
LinuxCNC/RT-PREMPT ebuild.  I'm not an official Gentoo dev, but I do 
have sunrise overlay rights.
