I know I'm hijacking a thread here Andy, but I've just run into an ssh
and cousins problem on machines installed from our debian 10 installer.

There is no /home/first-user/.ssh directory for the generated keys that
make ssh -Y $targetmachine just work. Is there room in the install image
to add ssh, sshfs, and the dependencies to it? I've had to install all
that stuff seperately, but that does not create
the /home/first-user/.ssh directory. Closer inspection says its being
put in /root ?? as .ssh/known_hosts, not as .ssh/authorized_keys

??

Thanks for any enlightenment.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
