Much of Japan is 100V 50Hz (worst case for transformers). Japan approval should cover 50/60Hz. Hotels generate a 120V 60Hz for US appliances. The 200V supply is more complicated. I had a JEOL electron microscope that wanted 3-phase 200 volts. They would not let us run it on 208V 3-phase and we had to install an elaborate conversion network. David
