Some few years ago I had a contract that involved medical equipmnet. One of
the horror stories curcualted in that field was of a death related to
equipment susceptibility in an ambulance -- which turned out to have been
caused by replacement of a metal roof with lighter-weight fiberglass.

I have explained the low MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 limits by pointing out that
equipment three meters from a VOR antenna can't radiate as much as a modem
ten meters from a television antenna.
