To add to that, you can use the FCC logo on products for which the manufacturer creates a DoC and fully follows the DoC requirements. Testing performed by an accredited lab and fully documented in an endorsed report by that lab, information in manual and provided to user (15.19 and 15.21) and the creation of the DoC document meeting the Part 2 requirements.

But the mark and the declaration of conformity are specifically meant for class computers and computer peripherals. It was a result of complaints from HP and Intel about the length of time it took the FCC to review submittals for Certification. It does not apply to any Class A devices which were already eligible for Verification (similar to DoC in practice) and was not meant to apply to other digital devices sold for use in the home (Class B) that are not “computers and computer peripherals”. The FCC back in about 1982 had a Declaration of Conformity very similar to the EU’s CE Declaration of Conformity, but I haven’t seen it used or used it in some time. Rather the product carried the required part 15 markings, and their was a heading in the manual that said FCC DoC that simply stated it was tested and passed Class A or B. The user warnings about moving things around or modifying the thing were in that section as well. Over time I had completely forgotten about the FCC DoC. Are these still being generated and can anyone give me an example of this, as I remember its an internally generated document one you got the official test complete at an approved lab. We generate all of the CE Documents, when appropriate, but this is the first time I’ve had a customer request one. We did send the test report but they are insistant that we give them a FCC DoC. Happy to obligue but would like to find the reference CFR 47 part 2(?) and an example if someone can share.
