Hi
I want to ask about internet connection to UBUNTU.
I use wireless internet provided by T-Mobile phone. It is 460 kbs and good
enough for me.
I can use it in most places where 2-3 bars or more.
The problem with this wireless internet is that I need to load software
into my computer that will let me connect to my phone via USB cable, and I
have HOKIA 5300 phone.
That software can be use with Windows XP operating system but not with
Linux (UBUNTU).
So I can not use my internet with computer that has UBUNTU.
I am interesting, is it possible to make phone modem to convert signal
directly into internet cable? In this case I just will connect that
internet cable directly to internet connector that on most motherboard
like a broadband connection. Also, I do not need any software to load to
the computer.
If I can search internet on the phone them self than it is possible to get
that broadband connection directly out of phone and into any computer. Am
I right?
Thanks
Aram
