My thumbnail is black and blue so a text list. ;-)

Client: is a 10.4 LTS install with the latest emc-2.4.6-somenumber build
CPU is an XP1400 Athlon, running at 1600 on a mach-speed mobo. Half a gig of
dram.

Video card is, from lspci:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon X1650 Pro (rev
9e)
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon X1650 Pro (Secondary)
(rev 9e)

Using the vesa driver as that is 10% of the latency from any other driver
for this board. Also, from /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
X.Org X Server 1.7.6
Release Date: 2010-03-17
X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0

Server:
AMD quad core Phenom 9550 at 2.2 Ghz, 4Gb dram
Uptodate PCLOS-2011 32 bit install
gene@coyote Download]$ uname -r
2.6.38.8-pclos2.pae.bfs

where the bfs means Con Kovilas's scheduler, much more realtime for the desktop.

Video card:
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G96 [GeForce 9400 GT]
(rev a1)

Using the nvidia driver, from the X log:
[ 39.881] (II) Module glx: vendor="NVIDIA Corporation"
[ 39.881] compiled for 4.0.2, module version = 1.0.0
[ 39.881] Module class: X.Org Server Extension
[ 39.881] (II) NVIDIA GLX Module 275.09.07 Wed Jun 8 16:01:21 PDT 2011

Also from the X log:
X.Org X Server 1.10.2
Release Date: 2011-05-28
[ 38.215] X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0
[ 38.215] Build Operating System: Linux_2.6.38.8-pclos1.pae.bfs PCLinuxOS
[ 38.215] Current Operating System: Linux coyote.coyote.den
2.6.38.8-pclos2.pae.bfs #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jul 8 01:46:53 CDT 2011 i686
