I've definitely been there! :-) Charles, the guys on this list are exceptionally helpful. And the level of expertise on this email list is very high. If you get stuck, just ask. I felt bad for you when you said you had tried many different distributions...without success. Don't let your frustration level get that high. Just ask. If you haven't discovered the EMC2 IRC, you should try and get on that also. Frequently you can get answer to a question in just a minute or two if you get stuck.
