I have used no-ip.com, in which software runs on the host that talks to a no-ip server to reserve one of no-ip's IP's. When a remote tries to use the IP, the request gets routed to no-ip, which then routes the traffic to the host. no-ip had a Linux host pretty early on, so has it pretty well sorted out. I suspect logmein does something similar, but only has a beta host utility? -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BlackBerry® DevCon Americas, Oct. 18-20, San Francisco, CA Learn about the latest advances in developing for the BlackBerry® mobile platform with sessions, labs & more.
