Propane dealers, like the suppliers, rely on the daily spot price to
set the sale price of a gallon of propane.  Propane dealers, for the
most part make pennies on the dollar per gallon of propane.  They
depend on volume to be able to make a profit and stay in business.  My
brother usually delivers over a couple million gallons a year to his
customers.  I can assure you, he ain't rich.  Propane is a petroleum
based product, and has all the costs of producing and delivering to
the ultimate customer that a gallon of gasoline does.
