If you want to measure pulse-width with something you can automate, a USB connected Arduino can directly measure reasonable accuracy with it's internal timers (16/20 MHz granularity), and get nS scale resolution for shorter pulses using the current/cap method described previously and it's built-in ADC. Some simple changes to the existing HAL Arduino driver would probably work: http://axis.unpy.net/01198594294 I don't personally need this (I've got a couple Agilent mixed-signal 'scopes sitting on the bench), but I can look into coding something up if it's of interest to the project (a round-about way of volunteering, I guess!). :) - -- Charles Steinkuehler char...@steinkuehler.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAlBKBbIACgkQLywbqEHdNFxnzwCg2Jh9lDvKApjaGG4D6bM4OUrE 4D0An33/9sr9axVKhwDiFSUI/mQgrMCt =oL6n -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
