Not sure I am doing this right, trying to figure out what encoders to buy. Will mount encoder on end of motor, the motor pulley is 10 teeth, screw pulley 18 teeth, screw pitch .200, differential 2048 CPR encoder. My calculation: 2048 X 4 X 1.8 X 5 = 73728 counts per inch?
Can I have to little or to may pulses, I am thinking a 1024 or 2048 CPR differential encoder and using Mesa 7i43 and 7i33 cards.
