I have had folks send me emails of almost 250 megs, an .iso I had requested. AFAIK, there is no size limit for qmail to handle, which is what we use for a mail server at wdtv.com.
Now, if you are trying to put a big enough stepper on one of the small mills where the Z screw is behind the post, don't waste your time. I at one point had a triple stack 425 on the factory screw of a H.F. micromill, and when it was skipping cogs, the bathroom scale under the chuck said something like 5 pounds. It was binding on the post because those ways are about 4" too short. So I moved the screw to the front of the post, turning the gearbox 90 degrees so I had a shot at the top of the sled, about 1.5" in front of the post. Planted the screw there, and made a rotating nut. It still binds some, but I can now put 155 pounds on a dull drill bit & make that puppy drill a hole. Same 425 motor.
