Ahh good - the 2.5.0 version of pncconf was very buggy.

It's a little confusing compared to the other Mesa main boards.
The 5i25's firmware is not loaded each time it is powered up like the other
boards.
So changing the core number and type of components is more involved.
It also uses the sserial protocol for some of it's components, such as the
PWGens
with the 7i77. It's actually the 7i77 board that creates the PWMgens not the
5i25.
and that is a fixed amount. The 5i25 creates the encoders, the wires are just
passed through to the 7i77 for convenience.

The 5i25 supports hardware steppers but you would need to reflash the 5i25
for firmware that has stepgens in it.
If you want PWM signals then you don't want the 7i77. Not sure if Peter has
PWM gen firmware for the 5i25 - I'm sure he will answer.
