Thanks Andrew, good idea. I figured out that at least 2 of my replies have not posted so it seems I need to work out of my email account since that seems to post ok. The link that Andy posted:http://www.cnc-hotwire.de/ is exactly what I have in mind. These are accurate as long as the wire is not angled more than a small amount. And as John pointed out as the wire climbs vertically the correction needs to be larger. Let me see what I can draw up. Thanks Dan
