Setting sserial run false and then setting it true again should reset all 
state but I dont think it clears any remote faults

That requires issuing a stop command to the sserial interface on the 5I25
and then issuing a start command and it looks like setting run false and true 
again does not do this.


Have you looked at possible electrical noise issues?
