That might be one way, but I've never seen that signal go true on a hal-meter. By the time that would register, I'd bet a beer that Jons pwm servo driver is into its current limit of 15 or 16 amps. This lashup, and thats what it is, is capable of reversing the spindles rotation from 2500 fwd to 2500 reversed, in about 1 second, lower speeds correspondingly faster. At 300 revs in low gear, its just a click and its running the other direction. I actually have a limit3 in the circuit to slow its accels down some as I didn't want to overrun the Z, with its slow nema 34 motor, when doing the turnaround at the bottom of a g33.1. Thats actually faster than the OEM controller could run that motor as I gained around 650 spindle rpms putting in my psu and Jon's servo amp. With that combo, psu outputting 126 volts, that 1hp nameplate motor can probably make 1.5hp. I'll put the hal-scope on it just for S & G & see if it can catch anything while cutting air at a 1000 rpm g33.1 peck cycle. Thats likely 3x faster than I would ever do a real peck tapping operation. Ping me if I don't report back on that yet today. Thanks Andy. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
