Not yet I am still thinking. CANopen is used on CAN but I have also seen implementation over Ethernet and guess same packet could be routed to serial or SPI.
CANopen protocol is attractive because it have simple PDO for real time data and SDO for dictionary with parameters. What I want is a standard protocol with more or less same packet format on different media, simple packets with little overhead and a dictionary for parameters.
