Possibly not. 2.4Nm on a 50mm sprocket or gear (at a guess) gives you 48N of force. x 2 as you have two motors. That's 100N, so the gantry will accelerate at 0.4g. Which actually sounds OK, but the 100N cutting force sounds low.
