Hello again.

I'm testing my boards and configuration before I install everything on the
real machine.

I'm configuring a lathe with 2 servos for the X and Z axis, one PWM
converted to analog for the spindle, and one encoder input for the spindle.
Also a lot of input and outputs to deal with.

For that I purchased a 6i24 with a 7i44 to drive one 7i70 and a 7i71 for
inputs and outputs. In adition to that I originally planned to use a 7i33
to drive the servos and spindle with analog voltage and also read the
encoders coupled to the screws and the one on the spindle.

I changed my mind and I plan to use step + dir to drive the servos and
leave the rest as it was originally planned. So I guess I need another
daughter card to drive the servos via step + dir.

>From what I read the ideal board would be the 7i47 but I needed to ask here
first. Also I'm having a little bit of trouble finding the right firmware
for this kind of setup.

To sum up:
                      ---- 7i70 ---->Relays
                     /
       ----> 7i44 -----> 7i71 <-----Sensors, buttons, etc...
      /
6i24 ----> 7i33 <----> Spindle analog out/ Spindle encoder in
     \
      ----> 7i47 ----> Servos step+dir output

Please let me know if this is the right approach and also guide to find the
right firmware because I'm not sure wich one I can use.

Thanks as always and sorry for the long post.

Leonardo
