Sounds to me like you are up and running but your encoder is counting in
reverse of the axis motion.

How large is your following error in the ini file?

Set your following error very high.
Set your axis max velocity very low.

Disable the drive enable, start the machine, check the screen to see if the
encoder feedback shows axis position, move the axis by hand to see if the
encoder feedback shows the axis motion.
If the encoder feedback shows axis motion then reverse the direction of
either the encoder feedback or the motors.
