Possibly less trouble is something like
https://www.amazon.com/Autek-Pocket-Sized-DSO211-Digital-Oscilloscope/dp/B00BWI0QHG/

I spent a but more and got a "DSO Quad' and it is really rather nice.
Though, as is often the case, I bought it just as my hobbies took a
bit of a swerve in a different direction, so it hasn't seen much use.

(Also, I do tend to use my rather cute 1980s Tektronix with fancy
on-screen menus. Must have been expensive when new.
http://w140.com/tekwiki/wiki/336 It's smaller than it looks, about A4
paper sized. Though cleaerly not smaller than the pocket 'scope)
