A PS of sorts:

I'll get them automaticly from the unused stepgen4 pins

But, I am useing this same card combo on a 4 axis 6040 mill, so I will 
need stepgen3 on that machine, but not 4.  And that does have a vfd to 
control its 24k rpm spindle.

No, that steers the pwm which modulates the bottom half of the bridge, 
and not externally separated, both sides on these full H bridge cards. 
The top half is switched from side to side by whichever dir line is 
true. That would tie up more pins the minute it leaves the 7i76 tb2/3 
area. Because those are already complemented, I'll use the pwmgen.00 on 
p3 for axis A, and the pwmgen.01's pwm/dir on p2 5 & 6 for the spindle.
