HI all,
This popped up on my amazon feed.

Listed as 15.6" 1080P with 10 point touch screen. Is something like this
usable with LinuxCNC and one of the Touch Screen interfaces?
Thanks
John
Funny you should ask John, just last week as I was bringing up s sovol sv08 MAX printer, which has a separate hdmi interface made to be able to tweak the hundreds of settings klipper as a printer driver gives you via its http control interface.  I'd bought a 7" color TFT monitor, called a 10.1" in Merican format adv. but had no x config settings.  And stumbled over a post on stack exchange that looked promising, so I modified 3 lines of it and replaced the spaceholder with that.  Works perfectly, 1st try.  So the info is out there if your google foo works.  Plug the touchscreen output into a usb port and cat /dev/input/event# to see where the touch data is output, there may be several event0-thru event9 depending on the usb discovery of your system. You will get several 12 byte repeating sequences of output per fingertouch In debian 11 which is the os for this svo08 MAX printer, see /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/01-dbbian.defaults,conf and it looks like this at the bottom of it now: There are other entry's above this but this is what changed. #Section "InputClass" # Identifier "touchscreen catchall" # MatchIsTouchscreen "on" # Option "CalibrationMatrix" "-1 0 1 0 -1 1 0 0 1" #see the X11 manpage but this is section is in swahili. #EndSection Section "InputDevice" Driver "evdev" Identifier "touchscreen" Option "Device" "/dev/input/event0" #edit the 0 to match the src you found Option "Name" "touch screen" #Option "GrabDevice" "true" Option "InvertY" "true" Option "Calibration 0 1024 0 600" #edit to suit your screens pixels by pixels Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true" Option "Emulate3Timeout" "50" EndSection I hope this is a bit of help John.
