Edje is BSD, epp is GPL 2. There are 23 authors listed for edje, none specifically listed as being the authors of edje_cc. Would have to get them all to agree to a license change. Only two are listed as an author for epp, might be easier to get epp license changed? Though this might make things hard (from epp) - * Copyright (C) 1995 Free Software Foundation, Inc. * Written by Per Bothner, 1994-95. * Copyright (C) 2003-2011 Kim Woelders I'm one of those edje authors, but I don't think I've done anything in edje_cc in particular. Personally I dislike the viral nature of GPL, it makes things less free, this being a perfect example. We have to resort to keeping GPL stuff in this sort of quarantine, or risk getting infected with a license we did not want. That really does not help things. BTW, before this devolves into a license war, we have had them before. No way is the rest of EFL that is already BSD going to be changed to anything else. Eina is LGPL 2.1, the rest is BSD if I remember. -- A big old stinking pile of genius that no one wants coz there are too many silver coated monkeys in the world.
