does it really matter? :) before we used cpp or gcc - epp means we have a
guaranteed output from the pre-processor. glueing it in to use a buffer will
(at least on linux) be a minimal benefit at best. :) i.e. - it's work to do it
(regardless of licensing etc.) and what benefit will that work have? :)
