I have a two week old 800 MHz G4. If it needs disk repairs so soon there
must be a problem.

I have not installed X.1.5. It is only available to those who can use
the Updater program available in Preferences. My ISP has a
firewall/proxy, I do not know which, that does not allow me to use that
program. I have approached my ISP but since I am a Mac user they have
not bothered to deal with my request as yet.

See1. above. I am a home user and the only LAN I am on is one connecting
the computer to a Laser II NT printer and my old Mac. This latter i have
not been able to make operational yet.
