Hi Mark,

Whenever Entourage 2001 starts to slow down on my machine, I find that
cleaning out the backlog of mail in my Sent Items folder and then my Deleted
Items folder always speeds things up. So, yes, the large graphics files
sitting in your Deleted Items folder can cause slowdown in Entourage as well
as bloat to the database in your MUD. So clean out these two folders on a
regular basis to keep Entourage moving well, and remove large attachments
before sending messages to the Deleted Items folder to avoid bloating the
database if you wish.

Then I must be confused. By the initial post on this subject, I assumed that
all the large graphics files that are in my deleted items folder are causing
a bloat to my MUD files and maybe account for occasional slowness or
freeze-ups. If in fact they are purged, then something else is the cause.
Thanks though.
