After a couple of in-store tryouts I decided against getting an Elan 7E. The
single reason is that darned a/f assist light. Even in the light of the
Circuit City store it flashed like crazy trying to draw a bead. I looked at
it from the other end and found it so irritating that I don't ever want to
impose it on other people. I will stay with the IIe, in spite of the
improvements of the 7, and wait to see what they come up with next.
