Studio probes *might* adjust also the intensity? Why couldn't a
flash meter meter plain TTL? There is no preflash I assume.

But on the other hand why would someone do it. To have real benefit
of flash meter you need stable conditions (flash output level and
aperture) and if you use any TTL or any exposure automation (flash
or aperture) they are not. Maybe to check if the exposure *was*
right (testing?) but I can't see any real use in it because you
can't duplicate that specific case any more.
