Hey Nom,

    Exactly speaking, Higg's theory has not been proven... It only seems
to have survived falsification. No physical theory can ever be proven
unless we somehow acquire the capacity to simulate every possible
universe like ours. As such is what would be required to "prove" all of
the implications of the theory (modulo variations in initial and
boundary conditions).
