I am not a big fan of Mr, Gates and his products, but I have to deal with them, if you know what I mean. If it were up to me and it's not, we'd have all Macs and/or Linux boxes. When I was in school we had UNIX workstations in the student computer lab I worked in. It is amazing how stable UNIX is and that in the face of the all the abuse students could come up with. The only problem we ever had in the several years I was in that lab, was attributable to dying HDs (Seagate). During that time, I was fortunate to be able to learn from the school's resident UNIX guru.
