The other difference is that PDF is (for all practical purposes) an Adobe
proprietary format -- poorly documented, constantly changing, with the
free implementations often one or two steps behind and unable to cope with
the newest features. (I have three free PDF readers, and usually *one* of
them can cope with any particular PDF document, but it's not always the
same one.) I've had far less trouble with PostScript.
